88-inc_288×8 Inc, the creator of the Packet8 Broadband Phone Service has clubbed with Systemax, a PC manufacturer to bring VoIP services to the masses through an exclusive offer on select desktop personal computers.

The offer includes 8×8’s Packet8 Softalk voice and video soft phone with select Systemax VoIP Desktop PCs. The cost of the VoIP bundle starts from $299 after rebate. As of now, it is only available through TigerDirect.

Packet8 Softalk users can also call other Packet8 VideoPhone subscribers when they are on a tour. For this, they do not require any special device.

The Packet8 Softalk also supports E911 nomadic service, the service mandated by FCC for all service providers. Other features are call waiting, caller ID, voicemail and call forwarding.
