Amitelo African Kick off conference was held on June 22. Ministers of African states, the president of incumbent African telecom companies, the Moroccan Prime Minister and the Director of External Investment have attended the conference.
The purpose of the conference to discuss and presentation about the VoIP products and services.
The policy of Moroccan Government is supportive and less commercial, so it enables the VoIP services in African states.
The Amitelo pilot project now create a five thousand new VoIP call shops in coming three years. The cost of each shop is about EUR 25′000.00 per call. The total values of over EUR 40Million per year.
Median Telekom GmbH’s VoIP, AMITELO’S call shop specialist is performing the technical planning who is deploying the 3rd generation call shop solution in Germany and Spain. The grants of up to EUR25′000 are only accessible for use in Government approved business schemes.
The applicant has to take the education for two years and pass the relevant examinations in this grant scheme.
The government will fully support the VoIP services and products of Amitelo in Morocco not only now in 2006, but beyond.
