VoIP market is growing everywhere. Asia is not exceptional to it. According to a study conducted by AMI Partners, the Asian VoIP market will grow by 45 percent in the next five years. This is mainly due to increase in the VoIP spending by the Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs).
The study shows SMBs will spend almost US$600 million on VoIP this year. It is 40 percent rise than the previous year. Asian VoIP market will also experience a compound annual growth rate of about 45 percent in the next five years.
Cindy Sim, a Singapore-based analyst at AMI Partners said,
The long-term savings that IP telephony can achieve presents a compelling value proposition that IT managers and CIOs cannot ignore.
However, the major hurdle to VoIP adoption in Asian country is insufficient broadband networks.
