Grundfos Group, the water pump manufacturer from Denmark recently went into a contract with AT&T to expand its 15-year long global networking agreement to include Grundfos facilities in China.
Already AT&T provides Grundfos with IP VPN in North America, Australia, integrated locations in Europe, Taiwan. Now it includes China as well.
Grundfos uses this IP VPN for the transfer of business data between its global production and distribution facilities that includes e-mail traffic, SAP applications, Internet access and VoIP services.
The AT&T network uses Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology that provides Grundfos with any-to-any connectivity and prioritization of business applications.
Eli Schroeder, infrastructure manager at Grundfos headquarters said;

Our long-term relationship continues to offer reliable and highly advanced networking solutions that can accommodate the geographic expanse of our business and support our day-to-day operations. Moving into a key market like China is critical for us and AT&T has been able to demonstrate it has the network reach and ability to serve our needs there.
