In an effort to provide enriched VoIP solutions for the small business enterprises, Avaya has reached out an agreement with Google to add its latest Apps Premier Edition suite of Web applications in its VoIP technology.
The US-based telecom giant has decided to bundle up Google Adds Premier Edition suite of Web applications with its IP Office Product.
Regarded as challenger of Microsoft Office, the Google Apps consists of a number of applications such as word processing and spreadsheet applications, calendar, e-mail, instant messaging, IT management tools and technical support.
With this integration, Avaya seeks to provide its customers a single in-box for voice mail, email, Instant Messaging and faxes.
In addition to these plans, Avaya will also ensure its customers to share contacts, alerts and online status by integrating its VoIP technology with platforms like google talk.
Avaya plans to provide the combined services to the customers by the end of 2007.
