VoIP software giant Broadsoft has joined forces with BEA Systems, a recognized leader in enterprise and communication infrastructure software to develop and deliver latest telecom services to the customers.

The strategic alliance will integrate Broadsoft’s BroadWorks suite of VoIP applications with BEA WebLogic Communications Platform product family including Java EE-SIP-IMS application server. They have also agreed for the joint development, sales and marketing of IP-based solutions.

Ken Rokoff, VP of business development at BroadSoft elaborated,

This alliance brings together two industry-leading telecom application platforms, which will allow service providers to deliver BroadWorks-based fixed and mobile VoIP services with IMS enablers and capabilities that can be hosted on BEA WebLogic SIP Server.

He added,

Until today, no VoIP application platform in the market has integrated with a converged Java EE-SIP-IMS application server. This unique offering can help drive new service revenues for service providers.

With this alliance, both the companies’ aim at ensuring a rich set of VoIP capabilities to enable operators implement new revenue-generating services more rapidly and more cost-effectively.
