Here is another Skype device from Buffalo, a Japanese cell phone maker. Branded as WSKP-G, the phone is a Wireless VoIP phone that can operate at any 802.11b/g WiFi hotspot with the guarantee that it can bring Skype services without requiring a host computer running Skype software.
It supports Buffalos’ AOSS setup, handles WEP, WPA and WPA2 security protocol. It carries a high-powered battery that can provide 2.5 hours of talk time. The battery can be recharged directly through an AC adapter or a computer’s USB port.
Buffalo would sell the Skype phone next month for $207 in Japanese market.
