There are unconfirmed gossips from Japan that suggest that Nintendo’s DS redesign would be a cell-phone inspired and accompanied by voice-driven functionality.
However, what is most interesting in the rumours about the mooted redesign will be the function forcing the form. It seems that the excellent Nintendo Wi-Fi service will see VoIP calls between DS users. The device will look like a cellular telephone because it will be used as one.
Anyway, if Nintendo can come up with a killer of a gaming device along with full internet access and free calls between users (when within range of a Wi-Fi spot) for around $100 it would be one of the hottest gadgets around that I, as an VoIP and gaming enthusiast, would certainly would like to have one for myself.
Well, new DS device is rumoured to be showcased at this May’s E3. I can’t wait for it.
