The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia here refused to delay the FCC guideline which requires VoIP service providers to provide reliable 911 emergency call service by 28 Nov. This was in response to the motion filed by the service providers.
However the customers will continue to receive the VoIP services even if they don’t have E911 services after 28 of this month. It is the companies who are the loss end cannot market their VoIP service and accept new customers in the areas where they cannot provide E911 services.
