Despite forming a global community for its P2P VoIP services, Skype is still under scanner when it is applied in a corporate networking due to its encrypted protocol that traverses secure networking.

While Skype is pushing forward for its business VoIP service, the FaceTime Communications has made a timely release of a security product to wipe out security concerns of Skype in a corporate networking.

FaceTime has showcased the latest FaceTime Internet Security Edition for Skype(FISE) at the Infosec security show in London.

Earlier, Skype has licensed its Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to FaceTime. The security expert has integrated Skype to in its IMAuditor platform last year. Now, the APIs will enable the latest FISE to control numerous Skype applications.

Using RTGuardian, a Linux appliance, the FaceTime security products identify and obstruct Skype sessions and wedge unauthorized versions of the applications. It also makes use of a Greynet Enterprise Manager to enable IT mangers to command over their networking while using Skype.

As of now, nearly 36 million of Skype users are business enterprises. Therefore, eBay, the owner of Skype must ensure them secure VoIP in order to capture the market.
