It’s gone! The much-touted exclusive deal between Skype and Intel to provide 10-way conferencing for users with Intel chipsets is in shambles now.
The deal was widely criticized and we also thought that it would make both Skype and Intel losers.
Now the deal in question has been rendered useless for a wise guy called Maxxuss has unlocked Skype’s Intel-only feature for AMD platforms.
I am sure Skype will ‘patch’ the patch up and their would be more patches. This would certainly make the companies, particularly Skype look like a severely wounded patient.
I am not sure whether I am amused or marveled or for that matter plainly pitying Skype.
