Sabeer Bhatia, the founder of Hotmail recently introduced a VoIP service for Indian community.
The service, called VoiFi Beta, is an IM service-cum-p2p telephony software, which offers calls for Re 1 from any part of the world to India.
The software has a range of value-additions. It has gaming content - ‘War Zones’, ‘Snakes and Ladders’, ‘Tic-Tac-Toe’ and a version of the Indian poker called ‘Teen Patti’ [meaning 3 cards].
Users can play games while on IM or voice calls. The software was developed in India, bya Mumbai-based subsidiary of Bhatia’s US company VoiFi Technology Corporation.
Let’s hope Sabeer Bhatia tastes success after failures like Arzoo and NaveenMail.
