Last month, Deutsche Telekom and Intel announced their investments in Jajah. The amount is nearly $40 million. We all presumed the money would strengthen Austria-based company’s infrastructure for more creative things to challenge bigwigs like Skype. It has turned true.
According to media reports, Jajah has now enabled its customers not to depend upon microphone headsets for VoIP services.
It is the only company, which has been offering VoIP services without internet.
The company explains it wants to show the advantages of using Jajah as a communication tool for free and low-cost global calling without any headset involved and to share and create fun and creative content for users of the service.
Launched in March last year, Jajah has emerged one of strong leaders in VoIP market with more than two million customers. The customers do not require a Net-connected phone or headset to make international calls while using Jajah services.
Jajah’s VoIP service is very simple. The customers just need to enter the originating and terminating phone numbers into a text box shown at the vendor’s Web site and click a button. Then, they should hang on for their landlines or mobile phones to ring. When you hold your phone, Jajah’s software has already dialed the other number you want to connect.
