
Microsoft and Chungwa have collaborated once again. It is for VoIP and IPTV. They are now putting their resources together to offer VoIP services for both small and midsize business enterprises in China and Taiwan, the two major IT hubs in the world.
As per the joint agreement, Taiwan-based Chungwa will exploit Microsoft’s highly reliable Microsoft Live Communications Server and MSN to build up VoIP services for the corporate sectors in the above two hubs.
According to PC World, both the companies will integrate each others software for the advanced telecom services. It includes Microsoft MSN VoIP with Chungwa’s public switched telephone network.
So far IPTV service concerned, they have not disclosed the launching date. Chungwa is developing IPTV service in the line with Microsoft TV, which is the major IPTV infrastructure of Microsoft.
