Microsoft signed an MoU with LG-Nortel, to collaborate on VoIP products, particularly Widows CE-based VoIP phones. The MoU brings closeness between the two market leaders. They will conduct joint research and development, marketing and software licensing. The MoU is an extension to the previous agreement done between them. LG Nortel developed a Windows CE 5-based multimedia SIP phone. Jae RYung Lee, CEO LG Nortel quoted,

The alliance will ultimately make a wide range of WinCE-based products available to Microsoft channel partners around the world.
The two companies are expected to sign an agreement very shortly. They will develop WinCE 6-based IP phones.
