VoIP is a dynamic technology. With the development of new technologies and new services, the scope of VoIP has further widened. This year, we witnessed a growing demand for the converged VoIP services, particularly among the business enterprises both small and big.
Swayed by market demands for such services, global software giant Microsoft and Swisscom have clubbed together to offer enriched, enhanced and high quality Converged VoIP services to the small and midsize businesses (SMBs) in Switzerland.
As per the joint agreement, the Swisscom would deploy the Enhanced VoIP Services (EVS) of Microsoft to provide customers a range of communications that integrate telephony services with the PC.
The EVS solution of Microsoft would immensely benefit the SMBs who can take the advantages of a combined voice, e-mail, presence, IM, collaboration and desktop services offering to improve their workforce and productivity. It would also provide them other services such as click to call, calling alerts, call diversion, smart call forwards, call history logs and more.
The EVS solution consists of hosted versions of Microsoft server products that include Microsoft Exchange server, Microsoft Office Live Communication Server and Windows SharePoint services with Sylantro Systems’ Application Feature Server.
