
Can Mitel sit silent when Microsoft, Nortel and Cisco all are hitting small and midsize business VoIP market with full vitality?
Mitel has also signaled out its fierce entry into VoIP bandwagon by announcing its plans to acquire Inter-Tel, a full-service provider of business communications solutions based in Arizona for $723 million.
With this acquisition, Mitel will develop new products and solutions in areas of unified communications, networking, management and IPT applications such as messaging, contact centers, mobility and collaboration.
The merger will enable both the companies to target the business customers in 90 countries in the world giving tough competition to the already established players like Avaya, Cisco and Nortel.
