Yet another patent row is hitting up the blogsphere with Mitel Networks armed up against ShoreTel claiming the later has infringed four vital patents relating to unified IP communication solutions and applications.

In a lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Mitel has complained that ShoreTel has violated Mitel Patens - U.S. Patent Nos. 5,940,834, 5,703,942, 5,541,983, and 5,657,446.

In a press release, Mitel CTO, Christian Szpilfogel said,

Mitel has invested significant resources into intellectual property in support of its communications innovations, and we intend to assert our rights against those that infringe that intellectual property.

However, Mitel has not explained what damages or actions it is seeking against ShoreTel.
