Taiwan-based Micro-Star International (MSI) is coming up with a Motherboard, which has a built-in phone adapter to facilitate VoIP calls.
Dubbed as P35 Platinum, the motherboard will have a built-in SkyTel module card combined with a Realtek high definition audio codec, ALC880T HD to enable a standard telephone to be connected to the PC.
With this integration, the users can make both VoIP and traditional telephone calls. The traditional phone can function even if the system is off.
Interestingly, the motherboard is supporting Skype, which has a strong base in Taiwan and its neighboring market. Thus, MSI has a huge number of potential customers for the hardware device.
