MVS Net, Mexico’s leading wireless broadband provider and NextNet Wireless announced today that they are delivering Mexico’s first carrier class broadband data + VoIP bundled services.
Initially the average call volume will be 1.6 million calls per month that will generate over 3.7 million VoIP minutes per month across five cities:
a) Guadalajara,
b) Mexico City
c) Mexicali,
d) Monterrey, and
e) Toluca
MVS Net employs a robust carrier-of-carriers business model supporting MVNOs using a common NLOS BWA infrastructure provided by NextNet Wireless.
MVS Net’s ISP partners Avantel, Alestra, and its own ISP Ego launched bundled data + VoIP services in early 2005. Last year, from May 1 to November 1, the network’s monthly call volume rose over 1.6 million calls and is growing at a rate of 21% month per month.
It can be mentioned that NextNet’s carrier class VoIP technology employs specialized QoS that enable consumers to surf the Internet at broadband speeds and talk on the phone at the same time, something that would have saved Benjamin J Higginbotham getting Hawking Technology HBB1 Broadband Booster.
Another cool thing about it is that line of sight is not required to use this service. Users can make a call and surf the net simultaneously from anywhere in the MVS service area that includes airports and coffee shops alike.
