NEC is going to come up with a new technology called VoIP SEAL in order to prevent SPam over Internet Telephony (”SPIT”). The latest VoIP SEAL is touted protect users from ‘on the up’ threat of spam IP phone calls, besides contributing considerably to the realization of safe and sound voice via Internet protocol (”VoIP”) phone networks in the future.
The main features of VoIP SEAL are:
(1) VoIP SEAL, with the adoption of a module structure, allows quick response to the latest types of SPIT attacks, but for adjusting the system, by integrating and updating units to act in response to the latest and diverse types of SPIT.
(2) A Turing test separates calls originating from spam-generating-software and calls from genuine individuals. Prior to connect the call, VoIP SEAL identifies and slabs the illegal allowance founded on the communication pattern noticed through a call, which allows the finding and jamming of SPIT and put a stop to the user’s phone from ringing without cause.
(3)The implementation of a unit structure also takes in response to a wide variety of applications by allowing stretchy and trouble-free customization of systems to cater the requirements of an assortment of hardware, for example SBC, SIP servers, terminal equipment and home network equipment.
