VoIP gaining mass market got a big boost as Nokia unveiled plans for its new phone with VoIP capabilities.
The Nokia 6136 was unveiled yesterday that has features that were currently not available in any VoIP, GSM or CDMA handset. It switches switches automatically between the Internet and standard cellular networks.
Kai Oistamo, an executive VP at Nokia which is the world’s top cell phone maker, quipped ‘The Nokia 6136 mobile handset can deliver an easy-to-use seamless communications experience in virtually any situation.’
I am sure this is a really big step indeed with a popular mobile maker embracing VoIP and offering seamless communications experience between VoIP and other networks.
