Is it beginning the end of Vonage? Beleaguered Vonage must emerge victorious in the court against Verizon in order to remain in business.
According to KARE 11, if the federal court gives its verdict against Vonage, the company may be shut down temporarily, disturbing more than two million VoIP customers of the country.
Verizon filed the patent infringement case against Vonage in June last year claiming the later has infringed seven vital patents covering telephone features and the use of WiFi to place telephone calls.
However, Vonage says the allegations are baseless. A company spokeswoman terms, ‘This is about Verizon trying to stifle competition’.
