
Polycom Inc., provider of integrated collaborative communications solutions added the SoundPoint IP 430 phone to its SIP based VoIP desktop phones portfolio. This newly launched phone is a two-line phone with a full duplex speakerphone and graphical LCD.
The SoundPoint IP 430 phone is made to fulfill the needs of business users. The SoundPoint IP 430 offers an easy transition from PSTN systems to the world of IP telephony. It has integrated Power over Ethernet circuitry and a dual-port 10/100 Mbps Ethernet switch for PC and LAN connection. It offers 430 options of powering and cabling.
Polycom has also introduced SIP 2.0 software with new features and functionality. This SIP-based Polycom phones are integrated with Microsoft Live Communications Server. It provides advanced security and system management capabilities, which will reduce the cost of IP phones.
The SoundPoint IP 430 will come in the market in late June. The SIP software has no cost for certified VoIP resellers.
