SanDisk Corporation and Skype have announced about their partnership, which allows Skype users to make free calls and chat on almost any Microsoft Windows-based PC without downloading software.
The Skype software is coming on pre-loaded on SanDisk’s newest Cruzer Micro and Cruzer Titanium lines of Skype certified U3 enabled smart drives. It will allow consumers to make free PC to Pc audio and video calls to Skype users by inserting their smart drives into a computer’s USB port. It means that Skype users can use their Skype account completely from any PC.
The U3 platform, allows a various applications to be loaded on a flash drive. It is standard feature available in latest version of SanDisk’s Cruzer Micro and Cruzer Titanium USB smart drives.
The other U3 compatible program offers anti-virus, file synchronization and password management functions. U3 applications work with any PC using Microsoft Windows XP or 2000 operating systems.
The SanDisk Cruzer Micro with Skype preloaded is available in the USA and Europe for the price ranging from US$39.99 to US$199.99. The capacities are 512 MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB.
