
Skype and iSkoot, the mobile Internet systems service provider have signed a strategic deal to co-market VoIP mobile system in the global market.
The new agreement enforces iSkoot to mass market Java-phones, smartphones. These phones are modeled to make and receive VoIP calls using Skype’s software via handheld devices. For such services, the users do not require any PCs, WiFi hot spots or any such special hardware.
Skype will put forward an application that consists of its contact list and VOIP and instant messaging services on high-end mobile phones. While, the iSkoot interface enables users to find out their online friends and relatives in the contact list and check their SkypeOut account balance.
The deal also insists Skype to certify iSkoot’s products for making and receiving Skype calls on mobile phones. iSkoot’s software would be available on Skype site once it is certified.
