
Coming out of beta, Skype has officially launched 3.0 version of its peer-to-peer VoIP services bringing several of new features with it. The announcement came just a few days after eBay scrapped the free calling promotion offer.
As stated earlier, VoIP is getting into social networking, the latest Skype version has also some essential social networking features like pubic chats or Skypecasts where users can talk to 100 people.
Skype 3.0 possesses Lasst.fm music service enabling Skypers to listen music and show others the music what they are listing. It has also Mood messaging service. It makes you to convey your feelings to others.
Another striking feature of Skype 3.0 is that it has now plug-ins in the “Do More” menu that enables Skype users to have fun with games, record their Skype conversations and share a whiteboard.
With Skype 3.0, you can get a number of free services including, Free VoIP calls using Skype tools, Video calls, Group Chat, Conferencing calls up to four people, Sending files and photos and searching web with Google tool bar.
However, the customers need to make a small payment for other services such as Calls to ordinary phones and mobiles, SkypeIn call, Skype Voicemail, Skype SMS.
The systems required for Skype 3.0 are Windows 2000 and XP, Internet connection, Speakers and microphone, 1GHz processor and webcam.
