Skype has officially announced its Skype Pro package in Australia drastically reducing international VoIP calls for the customers.
The new offer may be threatening to the traditional telecos, however the Australian customers will certainly look forward to go with the Pro, which has been launched primarily for the non-USA customers a few months ago with immediate affect in European countries.
The Skype Pro offers an unlimited number of 6c calls to Australian Landlines for a monthly fee of $3.20. The Pro users can also get Skype To Go service without any additional cost. It is beneficial for the mobile phone users who can make Skype International calls at local rates.
Stefan Oberg, Vice President and General Manager at Skype says,
Millions of Skypers around the world already make cheap international calls from their computer. With Skype to Go, you don’t have to think twice about the cost of making an international call from your mobile phone. If you have a friend living abroad, you can talk to them anytime you want.
Until now, the customers from here used to purchase Skype Credits and were charged around 2.7 cents a minute for national landline calls. The introduction of Skype Pro, they can now enjoy zero cents per minutes calling to local and national landlines.
With Skype Pro, they can also enjoy other important features including call recording, desktop sharing, free Skype voicemail, discount on SkypeIn calls and call transfer service.
