According to this report, the customers who opened their accounts for Skype’s free UK calls promotion are being charged up.
As per the Skype offer, the customers will be provided six months free calling service under the Talk for Britain under the condition that they must purchase £10 of Skype credit.
The Punters were among the those customers purchased £10 of Skype credit to get six months of free calls to UK landlines, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. However, most the users of this forum are still paying money and waiting to have free calls activated.
Being fazed by the consumers’ complains, Skype said,
We are really sorry to hear that some users have experienced problems with Talk for Britain. We are working extremely hard to resolve these issues and will update our website as soon as the problems are resolved.
