Hooking up before a PC for VoIP calls is something boredom, which Skypers always like to skip. The Skype users in Taiwan have now the option to liberate themselves from PCs for VoIP calls.
Ipevo has broken the connection between Skype and computers by officially announcing launch of a new PC-free Skype device. Dubbed as Solo, the latest Skype phone enables users to make their VoIP calls without PC.
Unlike other Skype phones, Solo does not need any connection to a computer via USB. It directly connects to broadband network.
The latest handset uses chipsets from Brodcom and PXA 270 CPU from Intel. It is likely to hit the market on June 11. The price of the device is something around $150.
