Hollywood celebrity Paris Hilton is in a VoIP scandal for allegedly hacking the Voicemail box of pop singer and actress Lindsay Lohan.

The media reports claim that she used a fake Caller ID of SpoofCard.com to break into the Voice-Mail boxes illegally.

SpoofCard offers calling cards, which empowers users to change what other users see on their CID (Caller Identification) screens. The users can also specify any outgoing caller ID number using this Card.

The leading Voice providers such as Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile use CID to identify voicemail users without requiring passwords. They use it under the terms and conditions. However in Hilton’s case, the model has allegedly violated the terms and conditions of the company.

Following the scandal, SpoofCard has terminated accounts of 50 customers including Hilton and confirmed that Lohan’s Voice mail account was broken into. However, Hilton strongly denied of committing the offensive.

It is interesting to note the fact that Hilton was also the sufferer of mobile phone hack last year when frauds filched her addresses, phone numbers, personal notes and photographs stored on the celebrity’s T-Mobile Sidekick II smartphone.
