America’s VoIP service provider SunRocket has reached an agreement with Thomson to expand its VoIP services. Under the deal, Thomson would manufacture GE (General Electric) branded phones to support SunRocket’s VoIP services.
With Thomson putting its resources for the development of VoIP-based products, it is clear that VoIP is entering the mainstream by enabling people to make cheap international calls.
Lisa Hook, CEO and President of SunRocket stated,
From the beginning, we have prided ourselves on delivering consumer-friendly Internet phone service at an unprecedented value, so our relationship with Thomson to market SunRocket’s service is a natural fit.
Indianapolis-based Thomson explained its collaboration with SunRocket would open up a world of new possibilities for consumers looking to get the most out of their home phone service.
The GE phone marker said,
This is the beginning of an exciting time in residential telephony where more features that improve consumers’ lives will be facilitated by the emergence of IP telephony.
SunRocket offers attractive services at $199 for a full-one year. Recently, the US-based VoIP service provider has renewed its contract with uReach, a leading provider of converged communication solutions for wireless, wire line and broadband carriers to provide VoIP messaging services.
