The term ‘Vita’ in Latin language means life. It can also be the abbreviation of VoIP Taiwan. The state-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) must have considered the Latin meaning of the word Vita while forming VoIP forum.
ITRI has set up a VoIP forum known as ViTA Forum to certify standards for VoIP products in Taiwan.
The newly launched ViTA Forum will come up with new standards for the VoIP product manufacturers so that they can compete with the global giants in the VoIP market. It will set up a test lab very soon, ensuring certification services targeted on voice quality, conformance and interoperability.
