Even tough, a clear picture is not emerging regarding the state of VoIP in UAE and other Middle East countries, the overseas service providers and venders are eyeing on Middle East terming it one of the potential markets for selling VoIP services and products.
America’s leading VoIP product maker US Robotics is among them to target the Middle East regions. It is clicked up with its two latest Skype products, the USR9630 cordless phone and the USR931 accessory handset to lure the customers of these countries.
Sumit Kumar, Middle East and North Africa regional manager at US Robotics commented,
VoIP is very big opportunity in the Middle East because of its ease of use and cost effectiveness. Analyzing the opportunity in dollar terms is not feasible at the moment as we are not sure which countries are going to allow it.
