US-based VoIP service provider, Verizon Wireless has signed an exclusive deal with 24 hours sports channel ESPN to provide sports content to its mobile customers.
The deal ensures Verizon V Cast mobile customers to access feeds of scores, news and sports-related video clippings at free of cost.
They would also get the content of ESPN’s famous sporting programs including Cold Pizza, SportsCetre, Outside the Lines, Rome is Buring, Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn.
Interestingly, Verizon has nearly 59 million subscribers. Thirty percent of them subscribe Verizon’s V Cast service. The company charges monthly $15 for the service. ESPN has also a strong base in USA having 90 million homes accessing directly to its various programs.
The mobile content deal seems to be an inspiring proposition for Verizon to attract more and more customers towards its wireless services.
