
With a view to further enhance its subscribers’ base and attract advertisers towards its services, US-based VoIP service provider Verizon Communication Inc, has announced the launch of its free Internet gaming web site games.verizon.com for the customers.
Verizon would utilize PlayLinc platform to offer different kinds of games to its customers including Voice, Messaging and Chatting.
PlayLinc is the most advanced version of online game browsing and messaging platform. It has been developed by the Super Computer International. It offers a variety of games for download, messaging tools and fully multiplexed VoIP services.
America’s second largest VoIP service provider confirms that the customers to the PlayLinc will be assured faster access speeds (up to 50 megabits per second). For this service, Verizon fixes $4.95 to $14.95 per month from its customers.
The company also stated that it is building a fiber-optic system to provide Web services and television programming to compete against cable TV and independent high-speed Internet-access providers.
