As a Vonage subscriber and a Verizon customer /shareholder and really makes me wonder why I bother with Verizon at all. This lawsuit stinks loudly and the timing is questionable. If I wanted my landline phone company to be my VoIP provider, I would move in that direction. For Verizon to do this speaks large to the fact that market competition is something that means nothing to them. Look how far it got microsoft trying to be the ’bully’. Maybe the SEC in the US should look into VZ practices more closely.
