According to iSuppli, worldwide VoIP equipment revenues will touch $11.9 billion in 2010 from $3.95 billion in 2005. This is mainly due to the increase in the VoIP adoption by the consumers and business enterprises.
The report predicts VoIP Equipment revenues are likely to experience a compound yearly growth rate of 24.7 percent.

The research firm divides VoIP market into three different segments. Those are Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs) for enterprise, Infrastructure operated by service providers and Residential-Access equipment.
The PBX market shares 46 percent of the total VoIP equipment revenues at the end of 2005, while infrastructure and residential equipment market accounted for 27 percent each.
