The adoption of VoIP has been thick and fast in many countries and emerging economies. Its adoption has been phenomenal in business in the recent years in most parts of the world. We have been focused on what is happening in the VoIP sphere in the West, especially the US ignoring technologically strong emerging nations like India.
India is expected to be the second largest VoIP market in APAC after China. According to IDC the revenues expected from VoIP services in India will touch $2.8 billion by the end of 2005.
So where does VoIP fits in the scheme of things of the government with its notorious telephony regulations? The traditional phone markets have just been opened up. Is there any room available to VoIP for maneuvering?
From the New Year we shall be focusing on VoIP in Asian countries especially the Asian giants China and India. We would like to hear your views on this.
