This week is an eventful week for VoIP. So many developments occurred in the VoIP industries in the last seven days. I have to pick up seven out of many.

1.Hutchison’s 3 networks have collaborated with Skype to provide Skype services in the Symbian phones under the X-Series Service.

2.Google has added a Click-to-Call service in its Google Maps features this week. Appears like a VoIP service, the CtC service allows the users to call advertising from Google Maps. In fact, calls are free.

3.This week noticed entry of another VoIP service provider in the UK market. It is the Coms, which joined the VoIP fray with a network of two million numbers.

4.Japan-based ageet Corporation has launched its latest softPhone ‘AGEphone for Windows Mobile 5.0′, which can be used to make VoIP phone calls on a PDA or Smartphone based on Windows Mobile 5.0.

5.Canadian VoIP service providers cheered up due to the deregulation of VoIP services.

6.Another landmark development of the this week is the deployment of first-ever VoIP WiMAX Solution in Australia.

7.Skype made happy to Mac users by launching 2.5 Beta version of Skype service for Mac OS.
