Continuing its expansion spree, Vonage Canada has announced the availability of its flat-rate VoIP service into 19 additional communities in Quebec.

With this expansion, Vonage takes its VoIP service to nearly 700,000 potential customers in the Quebec province. They can now replace their home phone service with Vonage.

The Quebec cities that are covered by Vonage are Beloeil, La Prairie, Varennes, Laval East, Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Sainte-Genevieve, Lachine, Boucherville, Saint-Bruno, Longueuil, Laval Ouest, Pont-Viau, Roxboro, Chambly, Sainte-Julie-de-Vercheres, Laval/Chomedey, Sainte-Rose, Pointe-Claire, and Saint-Lambert.

A recent survey conducted by Decima Research reveals that half of the Quebec (56 percent) residents consider bundled packages benefit the service provider more than they benefit the consumer. The survey also showed 48 percent of Quebecers are interested to purchase more services from different providers than depending upon a single company in order to get a discount on cable, Internet, mobile and home phone services.

It seems that Vonage’s Quebec expedition is a bold decision in the wake of Decima findings.
