In what seems to be a superb marketing maneuver for a viable expansion scheme and counter attack on Skype, Vonage announced the availability of Virtual Numbers with area codes from Austria, France, Ireland, Italy and Spain.
This means that European friends, family and business associates residing and/or working in these countries can now call Vonage customers in US at local rates.
Vonage subscribers in the US, Canada and Britain can get these numbers for $9.99 US Dollars, $11.99 Canadian Dollars and 5.99 Great Britain Pound per month respectively.
If you didn’t know, Vonage Virtual Phone Numbers are secondary numbers that ring to your primary Vonage line. These numbers receive incoming calls only. US-based customers can select Western European numbers enabling friends, family and associates to dial them locally.
