Let us reconsider the question, why the adoption of VoIP among the business enterprises is not so encouraging despite the fact that the use of this technology will bring down their telecom bills tremendously?
Deb Shinder has answered this question in his research-based post ‘Four obstacles to implementing VoIP’. These obstacles are Reliability, Network Quality of Service, Complexity and Confusion and finally Security.
No doubt, the end users have been struggling to get rid of these obstacles ever since the technology came to mainstream. I may add that high speed internet connection is another major challenge before the implementing VoIP.
VoIP relies on Internet connection. For VoIP, the users require more than just an ordinary Internet connection to transfer the data. In some cases, you need a lightning fast Internet connection whose speed must exceed 45 Mbps.
The availability and accessibility of high-speed internet connection is yet another issues before the VoIP.

Yes, I agree with that.I think the VoIP industry should be developped widely. As a marketing person of VoIP hardware(www.hybertone.com/en), I have much confidence for this industry to let all the people deploy VoIP quickly.
