Based on Kristen Dyrr’s perception towards Vonage’s VoIP services, I present here some of the major disadvantages of Vonage.

Ten disadvantages of Vonage

1. Vonage is good and provides reliable services only when the user’s Internet connection is incredibly stable. Vonage fails to make E911 calls when net connection is down.

2. With net connection shows unusual behavior (fluctuation and slow), the VoIP call quality becomes horrible. Even in some cases, a receiver cannot hear the voice of the caller.

3. The unstable internet connection also affects the efficiency of a call router.

4. Vonage suffers from poor customer service. Some of the employees in the customer care unit are not fluent in English. Therefore, they fail to understand the problems of the customers.

5. Some other services that the company offers also do not function properly. For instance, the Tivo dial-up service do go with the Vonage. So also, the Fax machines of Vonage.

6. Vonage’s website is not user’s friendly. On many occasions, it provides wrong information. The customers are confused for the wrong entries in the site.
