Russell Shaw in his blog mentions about someone receiving threats through VoIP and the called ID unable to display the number saying the call came from ‘Anonymous’



Now to stop this, he mentions about a device called ID Manager, which is a VoIP compatible program from a company called Privacy Corps.



I found that it is very important that users know the existence of such devices , therefore couldn’t resist writing on this in my blog.



Anyway, more about the Caller ID Manager are as follows:



• It costs USD 99.97

• Block anonymous and unidentified numbers, while allowing all others;

• Allow only callers you ‘Invite’ by name, number, or ‘Wildcard’ to ring your phone, and block others as you choose.

• You can also configure specific controls for individual numbers and

• Works on regular phone lines as well





However, I fully agree with Russell Shaw. If you ever got threatened first contact the police and then consider a program such as Caller ID Manager.
